The Laboratory of Inorganic Materials (LIMs) was established in 2024 by Dr. Melita Menelaou, Assistant Professor at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), with a core focus on the synthesis and characterization of inorganic functional (nano)materials.

Our research encompasses the design, synthesis, and advanced characterization of inorganic- and hybrid-based nanomaterials, with the aim of addressing challenges in emerging technologies, energy and environmental sustainability, and biomedicine.

LIMs fosters a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, where undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students work alongside researchers to connect fundamental scientific research with real-world applications. The laboratory is also actively engaged in national and international collaborations, creating a hub for innovation in materials science and engineering.
